Critical care nurse
Helping people fight for their life
Critical care nurses use their highly specialised skills to care for seriously ill people and their loved ones.
You’ll find critical care nurses in Intensive Care Units (ICU), High Dependency Units (HDU), and Paediatric Intensive Care Units (PICU). In these environments, critical care nurses work collaboratively within multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
As a critical care nurse, your technical expertise and advanced communication skills are an essential part of the care needed for patients and their families. This specialisation is deeply fulfilling work. You’ll touch people’s lives in ways that will stay with them forever.
We do a lot more than take a temperature.
